1981-A doctor tells me I have Multiple Sclerosis and cannot be active. This is not a dream.
1982-I dream of the Human Family Reunion where people of all colors, cultures and creeds come and who is right is the wrong question until we get to know one another.
1987-I dream of riding across America alone and without money to find that spark of goodness and genius I see in every person on the planet.
1988-I dream of starting HateBusters when a KKK member is elected to the Louisiana Legislature and the governor invites us to come help the state redeem itself.
1995-I dream that my book, How To Like People Who Are not Like You, will be called profoundly simple and simply profound, a formula for building human beings.
2003-I dream of riding my bicycle 10,000 miles in a place I call Greater Liberty to raise money and hope.
All my dreams came true
2004-I dream that a million letters come to Box 442, Liberty, Mo 64069. Inside each letter is a one-dollar bill. These letters come from every state and thousands of towns. The media will notice the mountain of mail and tell inspiring stories about the goodness of people. The money will be divided equally between the MS Society and William Jewell College, where HateBusters started as a class project. To make my dream come true mail your dollar to Box 442, Liberty, MO 64069. Address your letter to One in a Million. To follow my dream as it unfolds go to www.hatebusters.com and click on One in a Million.
Dreams really can come true. We will make the Guinness Book of World Records for the greatest number of one-dollar bills ever mailed to a post office box.
My name is Ed Chasteen.
